Korgalzhyn’s steppe and wetland environment is exposed and can be windy or chilly, even in summer. Wear sturdy walking shoes and pack according to the season. In warmer months, bring light clothing, a hat, sunscreen, and insect repellent. In cooler months, dress in warm layers with a windproof jacket, hat, and gloves. A rain jacket is useful year-round.
